By M. J OBRIEN
The other reviews say it all and I have found nothing I did not like about this radio. Here are my additional two cents worth:
Pros- Sounds great!, adequate power for even audiophile grade speakers, great features and flexibility, nice display, Pandora works great and works great with iPhone.
Cons- Gets very hot and I decided to mount a small 12v CPU fan powered from the ANT lead over the back of the radio to cool it down some in such a trapped space. Fan runs only when radio is on so it is not heard.
Buy this radio....you will not regret it and great for the price...the pricier versions of this with more features are probably overkill unless you need the specific additional features as all versions are the same sonically and performance except the top model.
Don't forget the remote is a great freebie and very useful in my VW Camper!
Design comment common to all auto radios: I have yet to find and in-dash 1 din radio that has a display that can be read without bending down to look at it. This one is the best so far but still hard to use search features while driving.
Be careful with the mounting frame as it is thin material and has sharp edges as my scars can testify. Uses standard antenna jack like older cars.
I like this radio so much I almost took out the Monsoon premium radio in my VW Passat to replace it but decided not to since I know the speakers in that car require much more power and their are 8 of them! Even used that radio is $500+ and this sounds every bit as good for less than 1/5th the price.

By Cjjames
This is a great radio if you're into car audio. It has 3 pre outs for amps: 1 front 1 rear and 1 sub. If you are NOT going to be hooking up amps (Lows AND highs), buy the kdc-252, it has all the same features and quality sound for $20 less, because it only has 1 output for an amp.
I got this hooked up to a kicker zx400 and a CVR 12 for bass, and an Alpine 450W for my highs, all alpine type s inside. Since it has the dedicated 2 pre outs for highs, you can use a 4 channel amp and be running a true 4 channel sound system NO SPLITTERS!! Sounds freakin amazing! Just make sure you run all your RCA cables on the opposite side you are running power, I did get interference the first time I did that.
The radio has low pass filter for your sub output, and high pass filter for the other speakers. You can also change the colors on the face for a lil styling. iPod and iPhone controls work great, Pandora is awesome to have in your car.

By Simon Stern
Got this as a gift for the lady and she is quite happy with the upgrade so far (gave it to her 2 days ago). The only problem is the pandora thing. One of the reasons I got it was pandora, she really likes the service and was excited to see this stereo supported it, until we found that it would only work if you connect a newish ipod. It wouldn't connect to her Zune hd at all to use pandora or anything else, nor would it work connected to the galaxy sIII for anything including pandora. Only thumb drives work which is kind of disappointing. Even my older Kenwood connects to my little crappy mp3 player and sees it as mass storage.
But otherwise it is pretty nice and she's enjoying it so far so four stars, minus one for assuming everyone uses apple products and missing an opportunity to make it connectable to other devices to use for pandora or even as mass storage.
